◎ 韵母 yùnmǔ[simple or compound vowel (of a Chinese syllable),sometimes with a terminal “n”or“ ng”] 汉语字音中声母、字调以外的部分 -----------------国语辞典：汉语字音中，除去声母、声调后所剩的部分，可分成韵头（介音）、韵腹和韵尾三部分。如欢（ｈｕａｎ），ｕ为介音，ａ为韵腹，ｎ为韵尾，凡韵母必有韵腹，至于介音、韵尾则可有可无。如攀（ｐａｎ），无介音，脱（ｔｕｏ）则无韵尾。或单称为「韵」。

◎ 韵白 yùnbái[parts in Beijing opera where the traditional pronunciation of certain words is slightly different from that in current Beijing dialect] 戏曲中句子整齐押韵的道白 -----------------国语辞典：一种传统戏曲的念白。大概以中州韵为读音、咬字、归韵的标准，而四声的调值具有一定的规律。因有四声的组成，形成抑扬顿挫、铿锵有致的语调，较方言的念白节奏感更强，音乐性更明显。
