◎ 草书 cǎoshū[grass characters;calligraphy executed with strokes flowing together;Chinese characters written in the cursive hand] 汉字六体中继甲骨文、金文、隶书、楷书之后出现的一种书法字体。特点是笔画相连,书写时速度快 -----------------国语辞典:书体名。为书写方便、快速而产生的字体,大约起于汉代。初创时称为「章草」。将隶书草率写成,简省点画,保存波势。其字个个分离不相连绵。至汉末,相传张芝脱去章草中保留的隶书笔画形迹,而笔势连缀,上下两字时时相连,形成「今草」,即后世通行的「草书」。也称为「草体」、「草字」。
